1. How are they attached?
Our natural hair extensions are attached cold using ultrasound with no heating required. The capillary fibre is therefore unaffected and the hair is undamaged. The time taken to attach the extensions varies according to the number of extensions required.
2. Are the extensions visible?
There is a very wide range of extension colours, so you are sure to find the colour to suit you. The keratin attachment point is almost impossible to feel and is totally invisible. You can lift up your hair, there are no marks!
3. Can i wear extensions if my hair is naturally curly?
The extensions are soft, but if you have tight curls a permanent wave will be put into the extensions prior to attachment so that the shape of the curls perfectly matches your own.
4. How long can i wear them?
Depending on the condition of your hair and how you look after the extensions, they will last for around 4 months. A maintenance brochure is provided after the extensions are attached to explain how to take good care of them.
5. How are the extensions removed?
Your hair stylist will make an appointment with you to remove your extensions. As for attachment, removal is painless and will not damage your hair.
6. How much it will cost?
Depending on the desired result, our specialists will work out a personalised quotation that will depend on the thickness of your hair and the number of extensions to be attached.
7. Which shampoo and conditioner should I use?
Choose shampoos and conditioners that are silicone-free and have a neutral pH level (such as the PHYTODESS brand), these products will enhance the beauty of your hair and maintain the extension attachments. Wash your hair as normal but never with your head down, as the extensions may become tangled.
8. What measures should I take when brushing my hair?
Use a pneumatic Dessange brush, but avoid using combs or plastic brushes. Brush your hair regularly throughout the day from root to tip, concentrating on the roots, and keeping your head up (do not brush with your head down).
9. How should I blow-dry my hair?
To begin, follow the hair care advice given above. Then, towel-dry your hair until it is only slightly damp, then begin blow-drying. For best results, do as the professionals do and use a round brush with wild boar bristles and apply PHYTODESS primer lotion. To finish, you can also use a straightening or curling iron on dry hair, without touching the keratin attachment point.
10. What precautions do I need to take when I’m sleeping or exercising etc?
Put your hair up (plaits, pony tail, etc.) to avoid tangling, especially if you have long hair.
11. Can I go swimming in a pool or in the sea while I have my hair extensions?

12. Can I colour my hair or have my usual highlights?
Yes, you can have highlights or colouring, but it is always essential to ask your Dessange colourist for advice.
